Its main functions are electrical insulation of connectors, rust and corrosion prevention of solder joints, mechanical protection and wiring harnesses. It is widely used in electronics, communications, automobiles, ships, aircraft manufacturing and other fields.

During use, in order to ensure that the heat shrink tubing can be completely shrunk into place, a forced air constant temperature oven is used, and the shrinking temperature is controlled at 125°C. Special attention should be paid to the fact that when the heat shrink tubing is placed in the oven, the oven temperature has a downward trend, and it takes a certain amount of time to reach the set temperature; at the same time, it also takes a certain amount of time for the heat shrink tubing to reach the final shrinking temperature through the circulation of hot air in the oven. Therefore, the heat shrink tubing can only be completely shrunk into place when the actual oven temperature reaches the set temperature and maintains this temperature for about 3 minutes.
